Davis

We are and have been for some years looking for records in Crawford County for Abraham Davis who lived in Crawford County in l850, Wife, Kiziah Davis.

Abraham apparently died before the 1860 census. Kiziah had moved to Taylor County.

Does the records for estate returns exist for Crawford County? I made a trip there seveal years ago and found a few records including a record where Abraham was adm for the estate of his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Gainor.

We have not been able to locate a will for Abraham but know that there was still an estate there when Kiziah died.

Their Daughter married Jordan Prim who became the Great Grandfather for my husband Dan.

Is there any help you could give me as to where I should look next. I am retired now and can make another trip without any problem.

We were not able to locate a burial place for them.

Do you think we would be able to check the land records and locate the property they owned there? This is probably where we will find a burial place.

Do you have Tax records that might indicate which beat they may have lived in?

There are only two children we have been able to identify for them. Elizabeth married Jordan Prim and Isaac Davis.Neither of the men were alive when Kiziah made her will.

On the cemetary census shown on your page you have only the A surname. Is there anything I could do from here that would help to get more names listed?
