Summary:  Letter dated June 23, 1836 from T. Hillett in New York to the Governor of Georgia William Schley (1835-1837). Hillett informs Schley that former governor John Clark (1819-1823) gave him a commission as a commander in the Seminole War (probably the second Seminole War, 1835-1842) but the documentation has been lost. Hillett wishes to have his commission restored.
