Whitewater Missionary Baptist Church Circa
Appears to have the congregation standing across the front-probably 50+ people. It has a sign above the door "White Water" - and underneath the big sign are [what appears to be in chalk] the words (as best as I can make out with a magnifying glass): High School SJG Prin.
My problem is I don't have a date for the photo. My gg grandfather, on his PN application, gave his address as "Whitewater" - which may be how it ended up in my Grandfather/Grandmother Rowland's effects. Some of his great grandchildren are listed on the attendance record that's posted for 1919-1920 and 1920-1921 - as well as some of my grandmother's nieces and nephews (her sister's kids). So - I would be more inclined to think it dates to c1900 or a little earlier as opposed to the 1920s - although my gggrandfather died in 1896.
