Notes of interest: The pavilion is located on the lake’s edge with a beautiful view of the sandy beach; it is also air-conditioned, has restrooms, tables, chairs, small stage and a fully equipped kitchen area. The windows give a panoramic wonderful, clear view of the lake and its sandy beach. There is also a nice playground for the children and grand-children within a very short distance of the pavilion. The cost for the pavilion has been paid by donations received from family members in the past and we hope that we can count on donations this year for the 2010 rental fee. Entering the park is a one-time cost of $3.00 per person.

Those living in the area are asked to bring a covered dish (or two) enough for their family and enough to share. If, of course, you are unable bring a dish, please know that you are most welcome to come and enjoy the blessings of love and bounty of your extended family as together we share what God has so richly blessed us with.

Those from out of town should make donations in advance so that the families spearheading this event can make the necessary purchases of food and drink! A suggested guide to use in determining your contribution would be to think about the cost per plate. Pete and I have hosted many events of this kind and know the costs involved, so, we would suggest at least $5.00 per adult and $3.00 for children under 9. Be as generous as you can! Please send your donation to Joyce Mosely at PO Box 172 Lizella, GA 31052. Note: Joyce tells me that we have enough in the treasury so that those traveling from out-of-town are NOT expected to send money for the meal. I’ll leave that to each family’s choice…as she said, “The cost of gas and the motel expense is their contribution.” I’m sure that those from out-of-town appreciate this act of kindness, but also know that it puts a burden on those who live nearby to feed the family. So. Taking all of that into consideration we trust that everyone will do whatever they can. Your decision!

If you have questions pleas email me or phone and I’ll be glad to help…AND TELL ALL OF YOUR FAMILY TO COME TO THE FAMILY REUNION…DON’T ACCEPT THEIR EXCUSES,! Just encourage them...IF THEY SAY… “WELL, I DON’T KNOW ANY OF THOSE FOLKS.”  REMIND THEM THAT THEY ARE  FAMILY AND IF YOU DON’T KNOW ‘EM IT’S ABOUT TIME THEY MET ‘EM!

WE ARE FAMILY…GET TO KNOW YOUR FAMILY! TRY US…YOU’LL LIKE US!

THANKS! JACKIE MARSHALL MARSHALL
