Last Will and Testament of Thomas Jefferson Dollar Transcribed by: Janet Sumner Email Address: GWS0675@peoplepc.com Transcribed on: 8 Sep 2002 From Will Book B, 1873-1913, Decatur County, GA: In the name of God Amen, I Thomas Jefferson Dollar of aforesaid state and county, being of sound mind and desirous of disposing of my estate, do make and ordain this my last will and testament, 1st, To my wife Demarius Dollar I commit the full care and control of my minor children until they become of age. 2nd, All of my property real and personal is to be kept together and not divided, only as it may become necessary to settle with my minor children as they become of age. 3rd, I desire an appraisement of my entire estate to be made by appraisers appointed by the court of ordinary as each of my children become of age, and him or her to have their part in money if it is on hand and if there is not money sufficient to settle, then the appraisers to apportion him or her their pro rata share of the estate in kind. 4th, Should any of my daughters marry after they are (18) eighteen years old and before they are (21) twenty one years old, they are then at their marriage to have their portion of their estate given them. 5th, To my wife, Demarius Dollar, I give and bequeath (in lieu of all other claims upon my estate by her) one fifth (1/5) of my entire real estate, to include the house and lands lying around it, and one fifth (1/5) of my entire personal estate to be absolutely hers to dispose of as she may see fit. 6th, I wish my executors to settle all of my debts without interrupting my estate. 7th, I hereby by will dispense with all returns and inventories to the court by my executors save such action as may be necessary in the appointing of appraisors to divide my estate as my children become of age. 8th, I hereby appoint as the joint executor of this my last will and testament my wife Demarius Dollar and my son Thomas William Dollar.
