I would like to locate someone working on the family of ZACHARIAH WELLS and wife ELIZABETH; their son HENRY WELLS and HELEN STEWART WELLS of Effingham County, GA. Henry and wife Helen moved to Jackson County, MS around 1812, raised a family and died there. Some of their children were JAMES, JOHN, ISAAC and THERESE WELLS FOSTER SIMS. Seek futher information on a COURSEY family of Effingham County. My great-great grandmother was JANE E. HURST who first married JOHN WOLFE. She then married C.S. COURSEY who died Feb. 1913 (buried turkey Branch Bapt. Cemetery) C.S. and Jane (Hurst) Wolf Coursey are buried near one another. We know that C.S. had a sone Emmett S. Coursey. what we do not have is information on the parents of C.S. Coursey. Is it possible that his name was also Charles Sylvester coursey. Emmet S. Coursey named his first son Charles Sylvester, perhaps named after his grandfather.
