I am researching my ancestor John EVERS (b. 1760-1770), m. Sarene/Lorena MILLS in 1786, NC. They moved to GA c. 1796. I believed he rec'd a State of GA Headright Grant, 04 Jul 1796. He & his family remained in GA, until his death, c. 1827. He was a Rev. soldier from NC, and (?)may have served in the War of 1812. I am trying to find proof to establish my lineage for DAR, through his son, Gibson EVERS. Gibson was b. 1787, m. ca. 1810 to Rebecca ---, and d. ca. 1841-1850. How could I obtain a copy of "The Georgia Journal Newspaper", 1824-1828, Vol.3, 07 May 1827...article on " Solomon EVERS applying for letters of administration for the estate of John EVERS, dec'd." ? Would there be any records I could access for finding proof to establish that Gibson was the son of John EVERS?

Family moved to Effingham Co., GA where son, Isaac b. 1795. Darius and sons were surveyors, clerks, commissioners in Effingham and show up in 1820 and 1830 Census reports. Entire family moved to Alachua Co., Terr. of FL in 1832/33. Lived near todays Gainesville and again surveyors and clerk of courts plus Florida Militia members until 1842 when they moved again to what became Hernando Co., FL. Michael mar. Mary ZETROUER. Who are her parents? Darius died in February 1838 and Mary lived in Newnansville, Alachua Co. but received 160 acres of homestead land near todays Brooksville, FL. Many of her siblings continued to live in Effingham descending from John EVERS, Sr. and wife Mary (?). Will share with descendants.

Seeking information on John HINELY II, born in 1762 in Ebenezer, GA, and his wife Ann Margaret Ziegler. (Do not know who his parents were.) I understand they were descendants of the Heinles who were Salzburgers. Also seeking information on various May families in the Effingham County area.

Richard Hinely Searching for John I. HINELY. I think he was killed at Kennesaw Mtn (Civil War) meaning there will be no death info in the Eff Co Rcds. There is a book being updated "Ga Salzburgers and Related Families" that shows early HINELY (HEINLE) info but not my HINELY. His children are listed in various Eff Co Rcds but little on him (John Israel? HINELY). The 1830 census mentions Israel, John, and Solomon. However, John was the name of the orginal Salzburger (Johann HEINLE, 1750 came to Ebenezer in what is now Eff Co) and many HINELYS are named John, so MY John I. HINELY could be the "John" or the "Israel" or even an unlisted Hinely since the records were not very accurate. I know all the data from 1865 on and can peice together the early 1750-80 or so, but need clarification and support evidence.
