WOOLSEY

Mr. And Mrs. Idus Barnett from Griffin and Mr. And Mrs. Esric Biles from Brooks met with
the young folks at Woolsey church, March 3, at 11 a.m. to help us organize our G. A.'s
and Sunbeams. Our first G. A. meeting was held on March 9, 1946 at the church in the
afternoon.

On last Thursday, the funeral of Miss Alice McLean was held at the Woolsey church of
which she was one of the oldest members, having taught a Sunday School class and
served as president of the Missionary society for 30 years. The ladies of the society sat
in a body at her funeral and sang two hymns. The Rev. Geo. Lewis, pastor, conducted
the services. She leaves one sister, Miss Exor McLean and one brother, John M. McLean
and several nieces and nephews all of whom have our sympathy.

(Alice McLean died on 13 Mar 1946)
