Delores Byars - 11/10/07 My ggrdfather is listed above and he married Mary Alice Wimpee. I've searched all the records online and can only find JPByars as a 16yo farm worker in 1880 c. and again after marrying.  In census with his wife and children, one of which is my grandfather, Horry McCall Byars, who married Beulah Mae Pendley and raised their family in Fulton Co. GA. But other than seeing notations as JP being a pallbearer for Boggs and Lloyds several places, I can't find his burial place in Floyd Co. nor his marriage to Alice Wimpee.  Can you help me find his parents name and the place they may have raised him before the age of 16? Another family member believes there might still be a James Park Byars living in a nursing home in Floyd Co. If so, this would have to be Jr. or maybe even the third, but I can't find any trace of the name before the 1880 Census with him working on a farm in Floyd Co. GA.
Bob Thomas - 03/12/07 Bradley Thomas born circa 1780 NC married Martha Patsey Key in 1806 jackson co GA. He died between 1850 & 1860 in Rome GA. Any info on where he is buried or anything else would be greatly appreciated.
