Married January 1st, 1824

The farm is located on the Bastonville Rd., 7 miles from Gibson, GA. The grave sits all alone in a pasture quite close to the home of Mr. Wren and near an old farm house. The headstone is made from white marble (Mr. Wren has braced it up with supports to prevent it toppling over although it seems very sturdy), and the inscription is still readable after 150 years. No evidence was seen that anyone else is buried there. NOTE: Solomon Newsom, Jr was born 1804 and died 1/12/1866.
