FRASER CEMETERY #1

Fraser Cemetery #1 is located off of Union Church Road near the Eagle Boys Ranch. Actually, it was originally off of the old logging road called Mauldin Mill Road. The old logging road is still intact but one is unable to get onto the road by vehicle. The easiest way to access the cemetery is to enter the Eagle Ranch, take the first left, and park near the softball field. On the left side of the road there is a trail that will take you down to the old logging road. Follow the logging road for about 1/10th of a mile and you will find another trail heading off deeper into the woods. About 100 feet or so down this trail, turn right into the woods and begin looking for a small clearing. This is the cemetery.

The cemetery area itself is remarkably clean and well-maintained. It is completely surrounded by field stones.

The cemetery itself is composed of 5-6 graves (we are unsure if the 6th one is really a grave), but it does have the field stone head and foot marker in place.

Bethsheba (Hamilton) Fraser, b. 1795, d. 1870
