The Shaw Family of Jasper County, Georgia

The following is transcribed by Suzanne Forte (suzanneforte@bellsouth.net) from the book

"The Kellys of Jasper County, Georgia, Descendants of the Revolutionary Soldier Jacob Kelly and wife Susanna Allen"

by Dorothy Kelly MacDowell, 1984

Surnames contained in this document:

Broadus, Kelly, Kennon, Lumsden, Pope, Shaw, Webb, Wilson

SERENA CLEMANTINE KELLY married Jan 25 1872, JAMES N. L. SHAW, May 19 1847, Jan 12 1902.  She was born Oct 16 1842 and died Oct 22 1900.  She was a member of the Methodist Church of Monticello for 42 years.

N. L. Shaw's sister, Annie married Seaborn J. Kelly and his sister Sophia married William Greene Kelly, brothers.

So far I have not found the connection between these two Kelly men and the descendants of Jacob Kelly.

James N. L. Shaw was probably son of John Shaw 1796-1876 who married first Sophia Wilson, 1799-1842 and second Elizabeth Lumsden.

Children of Serena Clemantine Kelly and James N. L. Shaw:
