Calvary Church May 17th 74
The first Church Conference of the year was called to order by the President W. W. Wadsworth, and Thos. M. Davidson was elected Secretary. The calling of the roll omitted on account of the absence of the record. The regular order was taken offering answers from the brethren to the different questions asked by the Pastor as the different items were reached. The Pastor exhorted the Conference to the early establishment of a Sunday School, and to the revival of class meetings. The stewars reported the collection ($30. thirty dollars upon the saleries of the Presiding Elder and the Pastor. The assessment one hundred and fifty dollars $150.00. Thos M. Davidson was elected delegate to the next District Conference to be held at Moroe [?] Ga. and Oliver H. Newton alternate. The Conference adjourned with the benediction.

Calvary Church was call in to conference by J. M. Bowden preacher in charge. To wit. The old officrs of the church were retained and List of the Trustees names were furnished as follows. William Spearman O H Newton, William C Leverett Ransom Akens Otis Benton. Sisters Jane Leverett & Sarah J Akens were appointed to assist Wim Spearaman & O H Newton in class meetings Know other business before the conference. It adjurned.

Met in conference Aug 10th 1881. John W. Bowden Preacher in charge presiding. to wit. The Roll was called and revised and Mary A Johnson name was added to the list of members [?]. The class leaders names were call called and they es?amined and Exortations for class meeting delivered by John W. Bowden. Application was made by the Secretary for a new Register. Application granted a pro[?]esrs was for Prear meeting By Thos H Kenon adopted to be held every first & fourth Sunday at 9 o clock A.M. No other Business before the conference it clossed.
