A.P. Wilson commission as Justice of the Peace for Jasper County, Georgia.  Dated July 8, 1830

 

 

 

GEORGIA

 

By His Excellency George R. Gilmer, Governor and Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of this State, and of the Militia thereof.

 

To Able P. Wilson Esquire, GREETING:

 

By virtue of the power and authority in me vested by the Constitution of the State aforesaid and in pursuance of your election,

 

I DO HEREBY Commission you the said Able P. Wilson of Jasper County, a JUSTICE of the PEACE for the 291st District Company of Militia in the said county.  You are, therefore, hereby authorized and required to do and perform all and singular the duties incumbent on you as a Justice of the Peace for the said District, according to law and the trust reposed in you.  This COMMISSION to continue in force during the term pointed out by the Constitution , or until removed by conviction or indictment in the Superior Court for mal-practice in office, or for any felonious or infamous crime, or by the Governor on the address of two-thirds of each branch of the Legislature.

 

GIVEN under my hand, and the Seal of the Executive, at the State-House in Milledgeville, this Eight day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty and of the Independence of the United States of America the fifty-fifth.
