STATE OF
THIS INDENTURE made the eighth day of July in the year of our LORD, One thousand one hundred and sixteen and in the fortieth year of the Independence of the United States of America, between John Cashin of the City of August and State aforesaid, merchant, on the one part and Jethro Mobley of the County of Jasper and aforesaid state, planter, of the other part.
WITNESSETH that the said John Cashin for and in consideration of the sum of Seven hundred dollars to him in hand well and truly paid by the said Jethro Mobley at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained sold and released and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, release and confirm unto the said Jethro Mobley, his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate in the county of Jasper and State of Georgia known by the number one hundred and sixty four (164) in the 16th district of Baldwin containing two hundred two and a half acres more or less, bounded on all sides by lot numbers 143, 145, 167 and 137.
Together with all and singular the Rights, Members and Appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the said tract of land, being, belonging or in any wise appertaining and the remainders, revisions, rents, issues and profit thereof and of every part thereof
To have and to hold the said tract of land and all and singular the premises and appurtenances thereunto belonging as aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Jethro Mobley and his heirs and assigns, to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of the said Jethro Mobley, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said John Cashin and his heirs the said tract of land and premises aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Jethro Mobley his heirs and assigns against him the said John Cashin forever and his heirs and every other person and persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by the presents.

I Catherine M. Cashin, wife of John Cashin do hereby acknowledge and declare that I have truly and voluntarily signed the within instrument of writing paper between Jethro Mobley and John Cashin, my said husband, and I do hereby grant all title of dower which I am entitled or might claim to be entitled to after the death of my said husband and that I have signed this dower without any compulsion from my said husband.
