Deed to Jack A. Johnson of Jasper County, Georgia from John Robinson, 70 acres of land on Murder Creek for $500.00.  Dated January 27, 1837

This indenture made this the twenty seventh day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven between John Robinson of the one part and Jack A. Johnson of the other part both of the county and state afore said, witnesseth that said John Robinson for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Jack A. Johnson the receipt there of is here by acknowledged.  Bargain, sell, convey and confer unto the said Jack A. Johnson a certain parcel of land lying on the waters of murder creek continuing seventy (70) acres more or less, bordered and bounded as follows, viz, commencing at Dismukes corner near the mill spring running thence a short distance and striking the pond running up said pond with or to the high water mark to the head thereof the creek then the line to the line of Wm. Flemisters land thence a long that line to A.P. Wilson’s line thence along said line to the corner which is known by Mobley’s and Callaway’s corner thence setting off and running a straight line with Wilson’s line and said tract to the beginning corner or to the corner of Wilson and Dismukes thence a little variation to the beginning corner.  

 

To have and to hold the above bargained premises together with all the appurtenances, issues, rents and profits thereof unto the said Jack A. Johnson his heirs and assigns forever against my self my hairs, administrators and assigns unto the said J.A. Johnson his heirs and assigns and do warrant and forever defend the same.
