      Know all men by these present that I Alexander Lane of the State of Georgia and County of Jasper have this day bargained sold and delivered unto Joseph Wilson of the State and County afore said a Negro woman named Nance and her two children named Luke and Aaron for value received of him and I, A. Lane do and by these presents warrant and forever defend from me my heirs executors or assigns or any person or persons laying just right or title thereunto in witness withereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 9^th of October 1818.
