Received of Abel P. Wilson five hundred dollars in payment for a negro woman by the name of Caroline, twenty two years of age and her child by the name of Charles, one year old the 12^th day of March last, the right and title of said negroes I do warrant and defend against self, my heirs and assigns to the said A. P. Wilson his heirs administrators and assigns forever.

 

Given under my hand and seal this 15^th January 1848 .
