Deed to Jethro Mobley of Randolph County, Georgia, from John Tilles of Effingham County, Georgia for 202 ½ acres in Baldwin County, Georgia.

This indenture maid this 24th day of February, in the year of our Lord 1808, and in the thirty first year of Americas Independency between John Tilles of Effingham County and state of Georgia of the one part and Jethro Mobley of the state of Georgia and Randolph County.  Whereforth that the said Johns Tillies for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to him in hand paid the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged & from every part and parcel thereof doth exonerate & quit claim to the said Jethro Mobley his heirs and assigns hath granted bargained and sold and convied  and confirmed and by these presents doth grant sell and convey and confirm unto the said Jethro Mobley his heirs and assigns forever all that Lot or parcel of land lying in the Sixteenth District in the County of Baldwin containing two hundred two and ½ acres which is known and distinguished in the plan of said district by the number one hundred and twenty four surveyd on the 29th day of May, 1807 by Hugh McDonald, surveyer.  I, the said John Tilles do warrant and forever defend the said lot or parcel of land against all and singular the primise thereof in fee simple him the said Jethro Mobley his heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns for his own proper use and forever defend from any person or persons claiming or pretending to claim from under him any of them or other persons whatsoever in witness whereof I the said Tillis hath set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year first above written.  Signed, sealed, and delivered in the presents of

Personally comes before me Samuel Lovejoy who being duly sworn sayeth that he saw Jones Temples sign seal and deliver the within deed for the within purposes and as such to be second and also sworn Isaac Kendall & Abel Pennington sign their names as witness with myself.  Sworn to before me this 25th February, 1808.
