Deed to Abel P. Wilson of Jasper County, Georgia, from Jethro Mobley of Butts County, Georgia for 405 acres in Jasper County.  Dated October 16, 1833

This indenture made the fifteenth day of October in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty three between Jethro Mobley of the county of Butts and state aforesaid of the one part and Abel P. Wilson of the County of Jasper and State aforesaid of the other part.

 

Witnesseth, that the said Jethro Mobley for an in consideration of the sum of fifteen hundred forty dollars, to him in hand well and truly paid by the said Abel P. Wilson at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold, released and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell release and confirm unto the said A. P. Wilson, his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land embracing all my ________ in the said county of Jasper, containing four hundred and five acres more or less known and distinguished as follows, wiz…one lot or tract of land known by number one hundred and sixty seven (167) containing two hundred two and a half acres more or less bounded on all sides as follows, on the east side by Lot 194, north by Lot 166 west by lot 164, south by lot 168 and one hundred one and a fourth acres more or less known by the east half of lots No. one hundred and sixty four (164) in the sixteenth district of _______ by the aforesaid half lot lying broad side of the one hundred and sixty seven and on the other side adjoining T. H. Tuggle and one hundred one and a fourth acres more or less it being half of lot one hundred and ninety four in the sixteenth district of the aforesaid county of Jasper.  The said parcel of land joins on one side to one hundred sixty seven, corners with No. 168 and with Mr. Slagle’s land running down the said line of Slagle cornering near the fork of the branch thence running a strait line near where J. Callaway first settled making there a corner and marking and off set running out to the north of the lane there corners on a forked post oak tree thence running a straight line north to the original line of said lot thence to the corner of said No. 167 and down to the first corner.

 

Together with all and singular the rights, members and appurtenances thereof, whatsoever to the said tracts or parcels of land being, belonging or in any wise appertaining to the remainders reversion, rents, issues and profits thereof and of every part thereof to have and to hold the said tracts of land and all and singular the premises and appurtenances thereunto belonging as aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Abel P. Wilson and his heirs and assigns to the only proper use, benefits and behoof of the said A. P. Wilson, his heirs and assigns forever and the said Jethro Mobley and his heirs and the said tracts of land and premises aforesaid and every part thereof until the said A. P. Wilson his heirs and assigns against him the said J. Mobley and his heirs and all and every other person and persons whom ever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these present.

Personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace, Warren Mobley and after being duly sworn doeth and saith that he saw Jethro Mobley assign the foregoing deed for the purpose therein contained and that Mary A. Mobley and himself was subscribing witnesses to the same.
