CONSTANT GAINEY TO MICAJAH GAINEYTo all people to whom these presents shall come, I, Constant Gainey do send greetings. Know aye [?] that I the said Constant Gainey widow of the late Samuel Gainey of Liberty County and the State of Georgia, I [can't read] for and in consideration of the love good will and affection which I have and do bear towards my loving son Micajah Gainey of the State & County aforesaid have given granted and by these do freely give and grant unto the said Micajah Gainey his heirs executors or administrators the articles herein after mentioned (viz) one bay mare three years old last spring about thirteen hands high, Twenty two head of cattle, twenty head of which are marked with a crop in the right ear and crop on under half moon in the left and branded part of them with an S and the remainder of the twenty three SG and the other two head are marked with a swallow fork [?] in one ear and crop and slit in the other and branded there S also twenty four head of hogs one of which is marked with a swallow fork in one ear and slit and under half moon in the other, the remaining twenty three are marked with a crop in one ear and on and under half moon in the other and also ten gease [sic] and the following house and furniture and implements (viz) two feather beds and [can't read] one jug three axes, two iron wedges and a shovel place. To have and to hold all and singular the above said mare, stock and other goods and [can't read] the above mentioned to him the said Micajah Gainey his heirs executors or administrators from henceforth as his and their proper goods and chattels absolutely without any manner of condition. State of Georgia This day Personally appeared before me Robert Hendry on of the Justices assigned To keep the Peace for said James Davis and being duly sworn saith that he saw Constant Gainey assign seal deliver this deed for porpossess [sic] within mentioned and that he also saw Abraham Bird sign it as a subscribing witness.
