Deed Book BDE is misnamed. This book is a re-transcription of Deed Books B, C & D. Book E is the missing book. The original Book C is still in the Courthouse, but is also in Book BDE as pages 171-272. Books B, D & E are all missing and presumed to be lost.

Tax Digests
The Georgia Archives has misdated a number of the early tax digests.
The 1821 Tax Digest is misdated 1824.
The 1822 Tax Digest is misdated 1825.
The 1825 Tax Digest is misdated 1821.
The correct dates have been determined by looking for the entries for William David and Jeremiah Hall. William David died in 1822 and Jeremiah Hall died in 1824. Using these dates of death along with the militia captains for the 1821 Land Lottery and the 1827 Land Lottery estimates the correct dates with a high degree of certainty.
