HAMPTON (b. 26 Jun 1821/GA, d. 27 Jun 1874/Abbleville, MS) Three of WC and TE's children were born in GA. They were: Augustus Harris GILBERT (b. 27 Sep 1844/GA) Reason Meadows GILBERT (b. 28 Dec 1845/GA) George H. GILBERT (16 Oct 1848/GA) WC had at least one older brother, Augustus H. GILBERT (b. ca.1819/GA) WC and TE, their children, and WC's brother migrated to Abbeville, MS in 1849. The Madison County 1820 & 1830 censuses show a John GILBERT living in the county. BALDWIN posted by Clara, L. Chandler on Friday, February 26, 1999

Seeking information on a Lizzie Baldwin b. Feb 1, 1874. Her death records states that she was born in Madison, GA. and gave birth to a son Youther Baldwin in Putman, co. Dec 18, 1886. I am interesting in obtaining information on her parents, I am unsure which County her parents were in, Can someone lookup a birth record for Lizzie Baldwin, also her son. I understand birth records are available for the years mentioned. She would be listed as (colored). Hopefully her parents names will be on that document, and his father's name on his. If my math serves me correctly, she would have been 12 years of age at the time of her sons birth. I realize there is a slim chance of obtaining his fathers name, given her age, but it is not impossible. I must give it my best shot. Please help. All information and suggestions would be appreciated. Please e-mail me at cchand4307@aol.com Thank You
