Danielsville

wpe78.jpg (29150 bytes)

Bond Hotel north of Danielsville courthouse.  It was replaced by a new brick home many years ago.  It was the home of John Franklin LaFayette "Fate" Bond, a local attorney & State Senator who died in 1916.  J. L. F. Bond's grandson, Hamil Murray, M.D., printed a booklet for his children and grandchildren called Portraits-Vignettes-Panoramas, in which he wrote of the hotel, "It started out as a hotel & evolved into a boarding house... there were all manner of guest; traveling salesmen, lawyers in for court week, bank & county auditors, etc... meals were fifty cents and rooms were a dollar a night."
