Lloyd J. Rogers and unidentified man at the mill |
"I remember the Rogers Mill sign over the front door. It was probably done in
the early to middle 1930s. It was painted by a man who lived in Danielsville by the
name of Eulis Payne. It was black letters on a yellow background, and down in the lower
right corner he painter in small letters "Payne Sign." I think
Mr. Payne had a regular job and signs were a side line. He shows up in the 1930 census as
living in Danielsville. He must not have been there very long."
