Help!!I am looking for the parents and or grandparents of J.W. (Judge) Stewart of Newton County. Judge was born in Newton County, GA around 1842. I think that his mother's name was "Valynia" and that his father was "Alexander", but am unsure. J.W. and his family left Newton County in about 1857 and moved to Randolph Co. Alabama, settling in Wedowee. JW Stewart served in Co. K 14th Alabama Infantry. He was captured at both Fredricksburg and Mechanicsville. He served @ Elmyra Prison Camp until his parole. He died in Wedowee around 1930.Any information is greatly appreciated!!

Would appreciate any and all information on a Robert O. Usher. I know he was married in 1832 and died in 1859. I am more concerned with his ancestors. Trying to find out his parentage and land holdings that they might have had. I have the name Home Plantation, but unable to find out if it was his primary residence. Please advise if I shoud be posting this in another place.

FRACHISEUR / FRAZIER /WALLS / WALLIS / WALLACE I am seeking information on my great great grandparents Isaac Frachiseur/Frazier, born in S.C. Sept.2nd, 1812, died Nov.20th,1902. He is thought to have moved from Abbeville district S.C. to Newton Co., Georgia. He later shows up on 1860 & 1870 census of Gwinnett Co., Georgia. These records have his surname spelled ‘Frazier,’ other documents, also his tombstone shows a surname spelled Frachiseur. Isaac was married to Elizabeth Walls/Wallis/Wallace born March 23rd, 1823, died May 9th,1898. Isaac and Elizabeth are buried in Harbins district, Gwinnett Co., Dacula, Georgia. I appreciate any help or clues. Please contact Fred W. Bradley, email
