Looking for information on the MCCART family and BAILY family. Seaborn J. McCart, born in GA in 1850 to John McCart, married Malinda Baily, migrated to Louisiana. These folks are my childrens ancestors. I am wanting to learn how they connect to other McCart families in Georgia. Seaborn had three sons, and a daughter who died young. His sons were William Walter, Thomas and Seaborn Henry McCart. Seaborn Henry McCart is my childrens great grandfather.

SHAW, WATSON posted by Dr. John Watson on Saturday, June 26, 1999

I have a number of ancestors that once lived in Newton County. I am trying to add more information concerning their time on this planet. The original family was Ezekiel Watson and his wife Elizabeth. Their children were Thomas, James, John, Sarah Jane, Mary Ann, Nancy, and William Jackson. The were poor farmers who eventually left Newton Co and moved to Chilton and Shelby County Alabama. I am looking for info on the wives and husbands that many of them took before leaving. In particular the Shaw family. Thomas m. Martha Jane Shaw. James m. Matilda Jane Shaw. Sarah Jane m. George W. Shaw and Mary Ann m. Judge W. Shaw. Are all of these Shaw's from the same family? Did some stay in GA? Any info would be useful.
