340 ACRES ON GOLDEN GROVE CREEK - OGLETHORPE COUNTY, GEORGIA
DATED: FEBRUARY 24TH, 1804
This indenture made this twenty fourth day of February one thousand eight hundred and four between HUGH ECTOR and ELEANOR ECTOR his wife of the county of Oglethorpe and State of Georgia of the one part and GARNETT ANDREWS of the State and county aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said HUGH ECTOR and ELEANOR his wife for and in consideration of the sum of fourteen hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said GARNETT ANDREWS before the sealing and delivering of these presents hath given, granted and bargained and sold and do by these presents give, grant bargain and sell unto the said GARNETT ANDREWS his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county and State aforesaid containing three hundred and forty acres lying on both sides of the Golden Grove Creek and butted and bounded as follows (wiz):
Beginning at a stake on the Golden Grove Creek running N 85 W11 chains and 70 links to a white oak corner on MARK PHILLIPS line from thence N 10 E 22 chains and 60 links to a post oak corner on WILLIAM BATTELS line from thence S 75 E _____ the grove _____ 43 chains and 70 links to Lou S _______ line to a post oak from thence S 15 W 4 chains and 40 links to a black oak corner from thence S 69 E 7 chains and 30 links to a Black Oak corner from thence S3 W 40 chains and 30 links on GRESHAM'S line to a stump from thence S 87 E 44 chains and 80 links to a post oak corner on PHILLIPS line from thence S5 W8 chains to a black oak corner from thence a direct line to a gum corner on the creek from thence down the meanders of the Grove Creek to the beginning corner. Which was granted to CURTIS WILBORN and JOHN PHILLIPS together with all the easements appurtenances to the said land belonging or in any way appertaining to have and to hold the said bargained premises to the only proper use and behoove of him the said GARNETT ANDREWS his heirs and assigns forever against him, the said HUGH ECTOR and ELEANOR his wife their heirs and assigns or any other person or persons whatsoever and we the said HUGH ECTOR and ELEANOR his wife do warrant and defend the above bargained premises unto GARNETT ANDREWS his heirs and assigns forever.
