- Researching descendants of William Jackson HICKS 1826-1864 Married Sara Ann RIVERS of Randolph Co. They moved to Cotton
Hill in 1850 before it was a town. Had brother James C. HICKS and wife w/ them at the time. Seeking any and all info on the possible
location of the homestead and gravesite of Wm. J. HICKS. Was supposed to have been wounded and died in Civil War but am unable to
verify his military status. Wm JACKSON was the son of John Harding HICKS bn1792 in Ireland and came to GA at 16yoa. Possible
other children are Daniel J. and Mary J. Believe the family was in Randolph Co. prior to 1850. Would appreciate any possible
linkage or info you may provide. Thank you!

- I descend from a William CAMP b. ca. 1773 either in Rutherford Co. NC or Greenville Co. SC. He lived awhile in Jackson Co., then
went to Randolph Co. Supposedly he married Sarah Elizabeth REEVES. I know nothing of her ancestry. After William CAMP died, she
m. William DUNN. After he died, she moved to Jefferson Co. AL and died at the home of her son John Lay CAMP. Of all their sons,
Little Berry was the youngest b. 1806. The others may have left home before and were other places, but there are legal records that show that
Little Berry was there. Thanks for any help.
