My gg grandfather, William A. HUGHS (HUGHES?) was resident in Randolph County at the time of the 1840 and 1850 Census. He married Priscilla DAVIS (there was a Zacariah DAVIS in the 1830 census with at least one daughter the right age to be Priscilla). They are both listed in the 1850 Census as being from South Carolina. Other information lists their place of birth as North Carolina. The family moved to Henry County, Alabama around 1860. Does anyone have a connection?
