ANDERSON / JENKINS / MCLENDON / NOLAND (06/04/98)
S.T. JENKINS, the son of Willis C. JENKINS and Penelope MCLENDON is biographically sketched in the MEMOIRS section for Randolph County. I find it interesting that, upon the death of her husband Willis, Penelope moved to Randolph county. Could it be that she moved there to be under the protection of Leroy JENKINS who probably was Willis JENKINS' brother? Willis C. JENKINS was the son of Sterling JENKINS and Catherine NOLAND ANDERSON JENKINS of Wilkes cnty. Can anyone provide family bible or other evidence from Randolph cnty or other records that might establish the relationship between Leroy and Willis C. JENKINS? Thanks for your help, Oliver.
