William Stokes SCOTT died in the Benevolence Baptist Church in 1868. His wife, Annie E. ALLEN, went to Texas soon afterwards. One of his daughters, Sarah E. SCOTT, married a MITCHINER. Thomas CORAM was the great maternal grandfather of William SCOTT MITCHINER. Any information on these families or the church would be appreciated.

Update to earlier query. Looking for evidence of a marriage of Jemima POOL and ? BOOTHE in Randolph Co., GA sometime between 1860 and 1870. Jemima POOL, a widow, aged 45, is living alone in a boarding house in Randolph Co., GA in the 1850 census. She is aged 52 and still alone and head of household in the 1860 census (occupation farming) of Randolph Co.
I suspect that she may have married a BOOTHE between 1860 and 1870. There is a Jemima BOOTHE, aged 57, in the household of my ggrandfather, William Ryley POOLE, in the 1870 census of Miller Co., GA. I believe that Jemima BOOTHE is William's mother.
On July 11, 1998, I found a reference where a Jemima POOLE married Jones TEMPLES in Randolph County on April 9, 1882. If this is the same Jemima then there is a good chance the BOOTHE reference is a census error.

I submitted a query with the above mentioned surnames on June 4, 1998. Since then I have learned that the relationship of Leroy to Willis C. JENKINS was probably that of an uncle, Willis' father being, most likely, the half brother of Leroy JENKINS. I still need documentation of their relationship. I will be happy to share information with anyone willing to help.
