Would the querist who wants a Lookup in LANIER by Mrs. Louise Ingersoll please contact me by E-Mail? I have this book.
The LANIERS were in Duplin Co. along with the DICKSON, HUGHES, STANFORD, OUTHERLAND, JOHNSTON or JOHNSON, SLOAN, and many other families I have researched a little bit.
LANIER does not give any info not in the query, except has a wrong statement: She says Lucinda was in the 1860 Census, unmarried and living with her mother. Aaron's first wife died long before that. Jane Winderweedle was not supposed to have any children. Jane died 15 Jan 1881, and should be buried in Randolph Co., GA, where she died. LANIER also says that family in Duplin Co. can't be traced beyond Aaron. He is found on page 458, whole family, under "Unplaced LANIERs." Where is Jane buried?
