MILINER / MILLINER / MILLNER / MILNER (06/11/99)
I am searching for my Granddad. He was a MILINER (or one of the spellings) who married a Sallie Belle AMMONS of northern Randolph County sometime around 1900-1905. They had a son named Samuel N. MILLINER, who is my father. Grandmother remarried in 1912 or 1913 in Columbus, GA to a George C. JOHNSON and later on my Dad's name was changed from MILLINER to JOHNSON. Grandmother (Sallie B. AMMONS) was born to J.W. AMMONS  and Isabel Jane TERRY in Randolph County in 1884. I have been unable to find out who my Granddad MILLINER was -- We have been told that he died of a hunting accident while Dad was a infant -- Dad was born on Sept 5, 1905 -- I think it was in Clay County, GA but I can find no records.

Am looking for anyone knowing of family of Percy England ETHERIDGE and Della Lou KENDRICK who were from South Georgia, around Albany and Columbus and Pelham. Have been told that Percy's father was Charles J. ETHERIDGE. Percy had brothers named Roy, Les and Jesse and sisters named Pearl and Maude. One of Roy's children married into the AVANT family from Albany, GA and I think her name was Opel Lee or Okalee. Della Lou's family was from Alabama and her brother was Bill KENDRICK of Jonesboro,GA. FLATON (07/19/99)
When searching Lycos for my family name I got to my great surprise the listing for Randolph County, Georgia, census 1830, which listed a Richard FLATON (page 245).

As far as we know the FLATON family was living in Holland at that time, and in rather poor conditions at that. The first FLATONs that emigrated did so early in the 20th century.

Is there any possibily that Randolph Co. GAGenWeb County could shed any light on this curious happenstance? I would be delighted to hear from you.
