I am interested in corresponding with anyone doing research on PAULK/POLK. I am particularly interested in getting information on PAULKs/ POLKs who might have come to Randolph Co before it was broken up into Stewart Co.
Does anyone know who the Jonathan POLK on the 1840 census was ? Who his parents were ? Where did he come from ? The name of the male <5 in his household on the 1840 census ? His wife s name ?
Does anyone know the the parents of the Urias POLK on the 1840 census ? Where he came from ? The names of the males in his household <5 and 20-30 ? His wife's name ? Were Jonathan and Urias brothers ?

Looking for information on Baley/Bailey T. DALTON, born ca 1798 in NC. He was in Randolph Co. in 1840, then in Stewart Co., and Muscogee Co., Ga. in 1850.
He married Celia WEATHERSBY in 1823 in Putnam Co. Was her father Dr. Septimus WEATHERSBY, who also left Putnam Co. for Randolph, where his will and estate was settled.
Any information will be appreciated.

Information on James RAYSOR? Moved to Randolph Co. in late 1830's from Colleton Co., SC. Died in 1840's in Cuthbert leaving wife, Elizabeth, & ten children. Wife soon moved back to SC.

My great grandmother was born in Randolf Co.GA 8/12/1845, d.9/17/1934, and married Thomas Edward MCELVOY who was born in Dundark, England 4/20/1833,d.12/4/1902. They had a daughter in Appalachicola, FL in 1877 who was my grandmother. I would like to find any of the HENDERSON or MCELVOY families that may be from our tree. My great grandparents records of birth and death are as far back as I have gotten. Any help would be much appreciated.

Looking for ANY information on the MADDOX family of Randoph county circa 1870-1900. My Benjamin Cornelious MADDOX, son of Joseph Isiah MADDOX and Matilda "Mary" FOWLER,was born in Randolph county on 28,Feb.,1882. This family came from Coffee County, Alabama about 1870 and returned there by 1900 census.

Seeking information on descendants of James & Martha MCCLENDON CLARK. James & Martha supposedly buried Shellman, Randolph Co., GA. Daughter Anna CLARK HAYS b. abt 1863 & husband Homer HAYS lived in Shellman in 1891 for sure. Son William Franklin HAYS b. late 1890, or January 1891 in Shellman. Other children of Anna & Homer: Sarah, Dennis, Lily, Claude. Anna m. 2 Robert RICHARDSON. Children : Vera, CB, Volney, Ophelia, & Robert, Jr.
Daughter Easter Dicey CLARK m. Blacksher PURDUE--not sure, think same area.
