DAVIS (01/27/02)
Searching for information about Richard W. DAVIS. Born in Georgia 7 Jan. 1831, he married Mary Ann BURDESHAW/BURTEISHAN on 9 Dec. 1849 in Randolph County, GA, and shows up on the 1850 Randolph County census, 7th Dist., p. 389. He and his wife moved to Henry County, Alabama, where they show up on the 1860 Census with their children (Kirkland Beat #4, p. 190). Around 1875 they moved to White County, Arkansas, where they are buried.

Richard W. DAVIS shows up in the census next to Willey and Timey A. DAVIS. Would like to know if these are his parents. The 1880 Census for White County, Ark. (Kentucky Township, E.D. 292, p. 193) has him living with a mother Permilla, 73. Her age corresponds with that given for Timey A. DAVIS, but that doesn't explain the difference in names. Does anyone have any evidence on the ancestry of Richard W. DAVIS? Cites to primary sources would be appreciated.
