Thomas B. Pickett was born in Georgia to David Pickett and Amanda Pratt.  He fought in Capt. Brooks Terrell Light Artillery.  The 1850 census shows him in Burkes District, Stewart County, Georgia with Amanda as head of household, George, Thomas, Lucinda, Benjamin, Luke and Gideon. I am trying to find out about David and Gideon, the birth and death dates and place of burial.  Samantha E. Willis was born in Barbour County, Alabama to Asa Willis and Seymour Stafford. The Willis family was the early settlers of Barbour County.
