John Causey was the son of Littleberry L., Sr., and Elizabeth Jane Hale of Crawford and Webster Co., GA. Born 12 February 1837, married 25 March 1855, Weston, Webster County, GA, to Palestine Elizabeth Judson Aven.

John Causey, Pvt., 13 August, 1861, Died at Monassas, VA, 1 Dec 1861. 11-20-1861 Muster Roll of Co. A, 17th Reg. GA Volunteer Infantry, Army of Northern VA, CSA, Webster Co. GA, Webster Rifles. Died in Civil War of pneumonia. He died after the Battle of July 19th-21st. (August 30, 1862 another one?) He probably died of complications of Measles as so many others did.

Willie Ann Pearl, born 12 Feb 1857, Weston, Webster County, GA, married 1874 James Irby Roberts.

Rebecca Judson Elizabeth, born 11 Oct 1859, Weston, Webster County, GA, married 1889 Simeon Halvenston Roberts.

John Elisha Wesley, born 11 Jan 1861, Weston, Webster County, GA, married Sally Sanders.

John had two brothers, Littleberry and Benjamin, who were also CSA soldiers.
