Jeferson Burns was born June the 11th 1834

Lard Burns was married.

Rutha Jane Burns was borned the 10th of November 1836 on Wednesday

George M Burns was born about 1794 in Buncombe County NC, lived in Bradley Co TN and died in Whitfield Co GA in 1868.  He married Elizabeth Raper who was born about 1801, probably in Blount County TN and died in Whitfield County GA.  They were married in Blount County TN 14 Feb 1818. George and Elizabeth are shown in Swamp Creek Cemetery, Whitfield County findagrave.com site. No headstones though.

This bible was published in 1778, Edinburgh, Scotland. I am highly suspicious it was brought to America by George's family. On one pg it has written Jane's book 1790 . This may have been George's mother. Just speculation on my part as neither I nor anyone else has found out who George's parents were. Lots of folks have his father listed as Laird Burns. No one has proven that, that I can find. One of the son's was John Lard Burns. Most want to take that as Laird but in the bible there's written Lard Burns was married.......nothing else.
