This church was started in a brush arbor in the early 1940's on land donated by Bill Elrod. The church was established by Tom Satterfield and Willie Walker and the first pastor was Rev Caleb Babb. The next pastor, DeWitt Lewis was elected in 1949. During Rev Lewis' stay the church was enlarged.
