The only Anderson physician I can locate in Whitfield County is Peter S Anderson in 1870. In 1860 he is shown in Walker County. Can anyone confirm which Dr Anderson we are talking about?

Dr. Anderson's House: H'dq'rs, Maj General Joseph B Hooker, commanding Federal 20th AC, May 7-9, 1864. These troops, having crossed Taylor's Ridge May 7, moved East to this vicinity. Williams' 1st and Butterfield's 3d divisions camped in Dogwood Valley near Trickum; Geary's 2d division at the Thornton farm one mile south. The 20th AC occupied the Federal sector between Mill Creek Gap and Villanow, during Sherman's move toward Rocky Face. Demonstrations were made at both Mill Creek Gap and Dug Gap. May 8 - the latter, 5 miles SE being the scene of Geary's vain attempt to dislodge the Arkansas and Kentucky defenders, while McPherson's troops occupied Snake Creek Gap.
