Martin Boyd, Private, 36 Regt Troops, Deserter from Rebel Army, Received May 25, 1864. Took oath and to stay north of Ohio River during the War. Nashville.
On a Register of Prisoners of War, captured in Whitfield County GA, received at Military Prison, Louisville, KY. Discharged, terms: oath.
Oath of Allegiance: 10 May 1864. Place of residence Whitfield County GA. Description: Sandy complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, 5'7", conscript.
Also, Oath of allegiance 23 May 1864. Place of residence Whitfield County GA. Description: light hair and complexion, blue eyes, 5'8".

Has lived in Georgia all my life, since 1849.
Married to Martin Y Boyd, 23 Nov 1873, Whitfield County GA
He enlisted Fall 1862, Whitfield County GA, Company B, 36th GA Infantry.
Husband was in prison at time of surrender. He was captured at Vicksburg. He was captured and carried to Indiana, and was held a prisoner until the end of the War. 27 Oct 1920, Mary S (X her mark) Boyd
He died about 30 years ago at Rocky Face, Georgia, Approved 8 July 1926

I hereby acknowledge that I have received from Ollie Boyd, hereinafter referred to as transferee-assignee $175.00 for the following manner: for services rendered, in consideration of which I hereby transfer to said transferee-assignee all my right an interest in the pension balances of $175.00, due, appropriated and unpaid to me for the years 1930, 1931, allowed by the State of Georgia and I hereby nominate, appoint and authorize said transferee-assignee to collect and receipt for same, in my name, on the pay rolls of said County, when it is paid by the state: Mary S Boyd, by Ollie Boyd, guardian.
