John W Brooker, application for pension.  Lived in GA since 1842.  Born Jan 31, 1842 in what is now Whitfield County GA.  Served 6 months in State Troops then joined B-39th May 1862.  Surrendered Greenberg NC.  Occupation since 1865 – farming and saw milling.  Aflicted with rheumatism.  Sons support him.  He has 4 girls at home and wife with no means of support.  July 25, 1902.
