How long have you been a resident of this state? Since 1837

When and where were you born? Sept 27, 1837, Pike County GA

When and where and in what regiment did you serve? October 12, 1861, 3rd GA battalion, afterward in Co C, 37th GA Regiment at "the Rock" Upson County.

How long did you remain in such regiment? To the close of the War

When and where was your company and regiment surrendered and discharged? At Greensboro NC, April 1865 when Gen Johnson surrendered.

Were you present with your company and regiment when it surrendered? Yes

How much can you earn per annum by your own exertions or labor? very little.

What has been your occupation since 1865? Farming

Application for pension based on 2nd (infirmity and poverty):  I have had a bad pain in my side for the last 7 or 8 years that has become so bad as to disable me.

What property (real or personal) or income do you posses and its gross value: None

What property (real or personal) did you posses between 1894-1901: None

In what county did you reside during those years and what property did you return for taxation: Whitfield, have had nothing to give in.

How were you supported between the years  1898, 1899 and 1901? By what little I could do with the help of my children.

How much did your support cost during those years, and what portion did you contribute thereto by your own labor or income?  I can't say what it cost, I done but little.

What was your employment in the years 1898, 1899 and 1901? What pay did you receive in each year?  I tried to farm, got no wages.

Have you a family? If so, who composes such family? Give their means of support? Have they a homestead? Yes, a wife and children, they are all doing for themselves, have no homestead.

Are you receiving any pension? No

Have you ever made application for pension before? Once

How many applications have you made and under what class? One, indigent
