This Indenture made this the Eighteenth day of December Eighteen Hundred
and Thirty Two between William McLaughlin of the County and State aforesaid
of the one part and Luke Turner of the same State & County of the other
part. Witnesseth that the said William McLaughlin for and in consideration
of the sum of four hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Luke
Turner the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained
and sold and by these presents doth bargain sell and convey unto the said
Luke Turner his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land lying
in the County of Wilkes on the Waters of Long Creek containing Two Hundred
and Twenty acres more or less being all that tract of land which was deeded
to me on the first day of December Eighteen Hundred and Ten by Benjamin
Fry except about two or three acres sold by me to Joseph A. Reeves and also
all that tract of about twenty acres purchased by me from Joseph A. Reeves
adjoining lands of Abraham M. Matthews & Mary King, lands of the Estate
of Bryant Fanning dec’d Robert Barrett & BB Reeves. To have and to hold
the said tract of land and premises with the appurtenances thereto belonging.
I do warrant and defend the same to the said Turner his heirs and assigns
forever in fee simple. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
seal the day and year above written.
