John & Piety Ogletree To Amasa Palmer Deed

This Indenture made the fourth day of January in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and the twenty fourth year of the American independence between John Ogletree Piety Ogletree his wife of the State of Georgia Wilks County of the one part and Amasa Palmer of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John Ogletree and Piety Ogletree his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to them in hand paid the rectpt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the sd. John Ogletree and Piety Ogletree his wife hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth make over and convey unto the said Amasa Palmer one hundred acres of land lying on Richland Creek in the County of Green and State of Georgia the plantation with all the improvements and priviledges thereunto belonging whereon the said Amasa Palmer now lives it being part of a tract of land granted granted to Joel Terrell and bounded as follows beginning on Richland Creek at a sugar tree corner John Bakers line running thence S 10 E 42 C. 90 to red oak from thence S 80. W 23 C. 33 to a red oak from thence N 10 W 42 C. 90 to a stake thence N 80 E 23 C. 33 links to the beginning and the said John Ogletree and Piety his wife doth obligate themselves and heirs to warrant and forever defend the sd. land unto the sd. Amasa Palmer his heirs and assigns against all claims or incumbrances whatsoever in witness whereof we have hereunto set our hand and affixed our seal the day & year above written.
