Capt. Henry "Harry" Pearson Rev. War

(comes the following note in a notably bad hand writing and equally poor spelling:)

“96 Dt Mesrs. Blak & Boquet Pleas to Delivr to John Hunter esq my Indint principal & Inerist to his persin that -- your ---- as witness -- this 13 Jyr 1785

Possible reading:

[96 District. Mr. Blake and Mr. Bouquet, Please to deliver to John Hunter, Esq. my Indent, both principal and interest to his person; that (is the wish of) your (humble servant), as witness (my hand) this 13th of Jan. 1785]

“I Do Certify that the above order was signed before me the 13 Jry 1785
Charles Saxon jp.”

On the reverse is written "Recieved 1st July 1785 full Satisfaction for the within in an Indent No. 318, Book T by an Order.

John Hunter"

In another hand is written "1 July - Mr. Henry Pearson. his account of Militia duty as Captain before & since the reduction of Charlestown amo.tg [amounting] to One Hund. Twenty six Pounds Eleven shillings and Five Pence Sterl'g. Ex'd J W." At top of paper is T 318 No. 68. There is another document at the SC Archives which reads:

"State of South Carolina

To Henry Pearson - Dr [debt owed]"

"Duty per Col. Andersons returns ----------------------------------------------------------- Curr'y -L- 886.2.0"
Stg. -L- 126.11.5"
