Macon Weekly Telegraph, 7 Nov 1871:

 

Marion County:

Sheriff Sales: Will be sold before the Court House door in the town of Buena Vista, on the first Tuesday in December, next within the legal hours of sale the following property, to wit 133 acres of land, lot #74, in the 4th Dist of said county, levied on as the property of J T Bell to satisfy a fi fa issued from Justice court in the favor of Hair, Rushin and Lowe.  Property pointed out by plaintiff.

 

Also at the same time and place, the following property to wit: 59 acres of land off the NE corner of Lot 213 being in the 5th Dist of originally Muscogee, nor Marion County.  levied on as the property of Mathew Melton to satisfy one execution issued from Marion Superior Court at March term 1870 in favor of John B Minter vs Mathew Melton.  Property pointed our by plantiff's attorney. W C Baker Sheriff.

 

Whereas Jackson M Gill, administrator, etc of James Perryman, deceased, has applied for leave to sell a portion of the real estate of said deceased.  All persons interested are notified of the above application.  Witness my hand 20 Oct 1871. Jas M Lowe, Ordinary.

 

Administratrix Sale.  By virtue of an order from the Court of Ordinary of Marion County will be sold before the Courthouse of said County on the first Tuesday in December next, lots Nos 168, 112, 244, and 143 in the 11th Dist, and Lot 260 (or 200-hard to read) in the 5th Dist and Lot 82 in the 31st Dist, all of said County.  Also at the same time, before the Courthouse in Calhoun County, will be sold one-half interest in Lot 118 in the 4th Dist in said County.  Also at the same time will be sold in the City of Americus, before the courthouse of Sumter Co, one house and lot in the NE corner of the public square of that city.  All of the above property of Wm M Brown, late of said County of Marion, dec'd - some of which is improved.  Terms of sale, case.  Mrs Ann E Brown, Admx.
