William Duke born in Virginia in September of 1754 and died 10 Aug 1834 in Marion County, Georgia. He is said to have married Winnifred Terrell who was born about 1738 and died on 12 Aug 1834. Five children were born to this couple: William, Mary, Jane, Winnifred, David and James

Rev. James Duke, born 01 Sep 1792 in Wilkes Co. Ga. died 27 Mar 1861 in Marion Co. Ga. married in Jasper Co. Ga. 05 Nov 1812 to Nancy Sparks Watson, daughter of Anderson and Sarah Streetman Watson . Nancy Watson Duke was born 04 Aug 1793 in Georgia and died in Marion Co. Ga. on 03 Jul 1882 both buried in Liberty Cemetery, Beuna Vista, Ga. children:
