The beginning of these bonds are in the administrators bond book with the notation "The within book contains record of Guardianship bonds to page 25 inclusive and from page 28 it contains a record of the bonds of administration with the will annexed. Guardianship of Unity Cobb (page 1)

Marion County, State of Georgia.  Know by all men presents that Joseph Cobb, John French and William B Butt securities are held and firmly bound unto the Justices of the Inferior Court sitting as a court of Ordinary for said County and their successor in office in the just and full sum of $6,000 for the payment of which sum to said Justices of the Inferior Court sitting as a court of ordinary and their successors office we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators jointly and severally and firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 6 day of Nov 1848.

The condition of the above obligation is such that said Joseph Cobb has this day been appointed guardian to Unity Cobb, an insane person.  Now if the said Joseph Cobb do well and truly demean himself as guardian as aforesaid agreeable to letters of guardianship bearing even date herewith and agreeable to laws in such cases made and provided the above obligation be void and otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.  Signed, sealed and acknowledged in open Court.  Joseph Cobb, John French, Wm B Butt.  Tested Samuel H Crawford.
